Description

Calcium lactate provides a nice and simple water soluble rich source of calcium for adding to drinking water. It is very useful when known problems exist with species which have a particular problem that needs addressing, and is particularly valuable in supplementing difficult species or individuals that have low calcium levels. Calcium lactate has a high bioavailability because it requires no digestion by stomach acids.

Higher levels of calcium in drinking water are key for using as part of a balanced diet for productive pairs of birds, growing toroises, pregnant or whelping bitches, and kindling cats.

We recommend Avimix for birds or Arkvits for reptiles for routine in-feed supplementation. Zolcal-D provides a source of calcium and D3 together where dosing is needed or where supplementation is always via the water.

Application:

Use 1 scoop per 500ml of drinking water (contains approximately 4-5g of Calcium Lactate or 600mg calcium).

Do not mix water soluble vitamin supplements or water based medications with soluble calcium as these may be chemically bound and made unavailable.
